About
Dr. Acree is a fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy, in addition to general orthopedics.
Dr. Acree was raised in Golden, Colorado and attended Colorado State University for his Bachelor’s degree. He then earned his DO degree from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. After completing his orthopedic surgery residency in the busy Level II trauma center of Riverside University Medical Center in southern California, he received advanced training in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. During that time, Dr. Acree served as assistant team physician for multiple teams including the Pittsburgh Pirates, USA Men’s Rugby, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, Robert Morris University Men’s Basketball and multiple local high schools.
Dr. Acree’s primary clinical interests include knee and shoulder arthroscopy, sports medicine, shoulder arthroplasty, and fracture care in adult and pediatric patients. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.
A devoted husband and father, Dr. Acree enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys. He also enjoys skiing, golf, hunting, fishing and just about any sporting event.
